The Ivorian, who rejoined the Blues in the summer on a free transfer, should be fit for a place on the substitutes bench.
Boss Jose Mourinho said: "I think he can play. I cannot say yes for sure but normally I think he will."
A question mark remains over who will start in goal with Mourinho expected to give the nod to Thibaut Courtois as his number one this season.
Ramires is suspended for the last game of a four match ban carried over from the end of the last campaign.
