Jose Mourinho has made his decision on who will be Chelsea's first choice goalkeeper for the coming season.

However the Blues boss is refusing to tell anyone – not even Petr Cech or Thibaut Courtois, the two men vying for the position.

Courtois played a full 90 minutes of Chelsea's 2-0 pre-season win over Real Sociedad, however, Mourinho insisted people should not read too much into that decision.

"Courtois played 90 minutes against Real Sociedad because he was injured and did not play the last game,” he said.

"Cech played in the last two games. Courtois has only played 45 minutes since he came. He needs to play.

"I know who will be the first choice, but the players don't know yet as I haven't told them. I will tell them on Sunday."

The Blues kick off the Premier League season at Burnley on Monday night.
