A 37-year-old man has been charged following a double stabbing in Chiswick.

Sean Stewart of Arnott Close, Chiswick, was charged with two counts of grievous bodily harm (GBH) and one count of possession with a pointed bladed article, following an assault on Tuesday (September 13).

The Metropolitan Police said he was due to appear in custody at Uxbridge Magistrates' Court on Wednesday (September 14).

On Twitter, Hounslow MPS tweeted: "A 37 year old male has been charged yesterday with GBHx2 after a stabbing in Chiswick on the 5/9/16 # Stopknifecrime

On Monday (September 5) emergency services rushed to the scene where two people were stabbed in Kirton Close, Chiswick .

Police reported one male victim was slashed with a knife, and a second victim, a female was stabbed in the neck.

Both victims were taken to hospital for treatment with non life-threatening injuries.

Another stabbing took place in the borough this week in Heston on Tuesday (September 13) night where one person was taken to hospital.

Another high-profile stabbing was that of Sahil Roy in Isleworth, and a trial continues after he was stabbed in the shoulder and neck before dying in his mother's arms .
