Police are searching for an attacker after two victims were stabbed in a horrifying incident in Chiswick on Monday (September 5) evening.

Emergency services rushed to the scene at 6.15pm to reports of two people stabbed in Kirton Close, W4.

According to officers, a male victim was slashed with a knife and a female victim was stabbed in the neck before the attacker fled the scene.

An air ambulance landed on nearby Turnham Green near to the attack, which was close to Belmont primary school.

The incident took place on Kirton Road, near Belmont Primary School

Both victims, believed to be in their 30s, have been taken to hospital for treatment and their injuries are not life threatening.

London Air Ambulance said: "Our advanced trauma team was dispatched via aircraft by the London Ambulance Service at 18.30 to reports of a stabbing in Chiswick.

"Following treatment, they were transported to a major trauma hospital by road with the London Ambulance Service."

A Metropolitan Police spokesperson told getwestlondon: "Officers believe the pair were attacked by a male who then fled the scene.

"It is believed all parties are known to each other.

"There have been no arrests and enquiries continue as officers from Hounslow investigate."

Road closures remain in place around Kirton Close but Chiswick High Road remains open.
