Brentford have had no enquiries from Rangers or Leeds for midfielder Toumani Diagouraga, GetWestLondon understands.

The Frenchman has been linked with a move away from Griffin Park with former managers Uwe Rosler and Mark Warburton reportedly keen on his signature.

But he is a key part of Marinus Dijkhuizen's plans and it would take a sizeable bid for the Old Firm club, who have had financial issues in recent months, to bring him to Ibrox.

The 28-year-old would have been available last summer after returning from a loan move to League Two side Portsmouth and Coventry City were interested in a deal.

But, since returning to the starting XI against Watford, he produced a string of performances that saw him named as supporters' player of the year.

Both Rosler and Warburton managed the midfielder during their spells in charge at Brentford and both saw him as an important player in their squads.

With Jonathan Douglas told that he can leave the club and Josh McEachran being ruled out for three months with a broken foot, Diagouraga's level of importance has increased at Griffin Park, meaning any bid would be rebuffed.

The Irishman has also been linked with a reunion with Mark Warburton but there is yet to be an enquiry from any club.
