It's been a turbulent week for weather and that has reflected in the stories you chose to click on this week.

As well as an attack on a 65-year-old woman who was defending a woman being sexually abused, you read stories on a drugs bust at the Royal Mail Greenford Mail Centre and a disgusting grocery shop in Harrow, where rats had taken over the shop.

Flooding caused by heavy downpours also caught our reader's attention, as did the McDonald's outlet which has banned groups of young people from entering the store.

Take a look at the top five stories of the week in more detail.

Good Samaritan beaten up by pervert

We reported this week that a 65-year-old woman came to the aid of a woman being sexually assaulted on a bus in Fulham only to be punched repeatedly in the face.

The woman sustained cuts and swelling to her lips and had to be taken to hospital after she was attacked on the No 295 bus travelling along Fulham Palace Road on December 20 2016.

Police have released a picture this week of a man they want to speak with in connection with the incident, which happened at around 4.40pm.

The addressees on the packages won't face any action as they would only have committed the offence once they received the packages of Class B drugs.

Rain in London. No really, a LOT of it!

It rained quite a lot this week, causing flooding in Hammersmith , Ealing and Chiswick and even some spectacular flooding on the A40 near Park Royal.

It is thought two weeks' worth of rain fell down in a few hours and conditions were muggy and humid.

Even the royals weren't safe, as Prince Charles took shelter on his visit to Kew Gardens in Richmond on Wednesday (May 17), to mark the launch of the annual State of the World's Plants report.

It might help to know, however that the Met Office is predicting this upcoming week will be a scorcher.
