Chelsea have reportedly secured the signing of Atletico Madrid full-back Filipe Luis for £20million.
He has been tracking Luis for months after the Brazilian defender helped Atleti reach the Champions League final and scoop the La Liga title.
We told you this week that the Blues were stepping up their pursuit of the full-back, however this morning’s edition of The Sun claims the Blues have now agreed to stump up the necessary cash to close the deal.
The signing of Luis would allow Cesar Azpilicueta to shift back across to the right side of defence after the Spaniard spent last term playing out of position on the left.
Should the deal for Luis be confirmed he will be the third player to swap Atletico colours for the Blue of Chelsea next season.
Goalkeeper Thibaut Courtois is returning to his parent club and Mourinho has already paid £32million to bring Diego Costa to west London.
