Before you jump out of bed and jet off to work with a much needed coffee in hand, don't forget to check the roads , as a number of routes across west London are subject to road closures.

Work continues on Fulham Road between Gunter Grove and Evelyn Gardens and Albert Bridge is also subject to closures on Monday (August 7).

Below is a list of some of the roads where motorists should be aware of closures and roadworks.

Kensington and Chelsea

Fulham Road is closed in both directions between the A3220 Gunter Grove and Evelyn Gardens and westbound at the junction of Beaufort Street for on-going National Grid gas main replacement works.

Closures will be in place until September 30 and two way temporary signals are in place at the junction with Elm Park Gardens.

Kensal Green

According to Transport for London (TfL), the B450 Kilburn Lane will be closed in both directions between Harrow Road and Regent Street due to utility works.

Closures will be in place until Friday (August 11).


Various restrictions are in place on the A302 Parliament Square due to the refurbishment of the Palace of Westminster .

From Monday (August 7) until Thursday (August 10) there will be no right turn into Storey's Gate from Broad Sanctuary/Victoria Street and no right turn into Victoria Street from Storey's Gate.

Work will continue until September 30.

Kensington and Chelsea

The A3031 Albert Bridge will be closed in both directions on Monday (August 7) to facilitate bridge repair and maintenance works.


On Friday (August 11) and into the weekend, the A5 Edgware Road will be closed southbound between West Hendon Broadway and Staples Corner.

A full closure of the southbound Edgware Road Flyover will be in place to facilitate repairs to a Burst Water Main.
