An Ealing blogger has been named as the UK's best-dressed vegan after sporting a range of animal-friendly outfits.

Sruti Sethuraman was given the accolade by American animal rights organisation PETA after a search through fashion blogs and social media.

Miss Sethuraman was given the title based upon her "impressive array of sophisticated outfits - which are completely free of animal derived materials".

The 29-year-old moved from India to Montpelier Road in 2000 with her mother, father and sister and as she grew up she started to notice a hole in the market for vegan fashion.

The Love and Blossoms blogger said: "I didn't think there was much vegan fashion so I just wanted a platform for me to share with everyone.

The blogger was praised for her "impressive array of outfits"

"It is something that come naturally to me, I will know what I like and I go with vegan items.

"The idea behind my blog is to inspire stylish dressing without the cruelty of wearing animal skins.

"My style is feminine and simple, and I love using colour to brighten up my outfits.

"I am also planning to launch my own vegan fashion brand soon.

"I was leaving the gym (after being told she'd won) and I was really happy - I can't believe it.

"I am really surprised but I think it is great that you can interact with so many people."

Director of international programmes from PETA, Mimi Bekhechi, added: "Sruti's on-trend outfits show that dressing to the nines without hurting animals has never been easier.

"We encourage fashionistas everywhere to take a leaf out of her lookbook and choose beautiful, compassionate designs that don't bleed."

One of many animal friendly outfits being worn

The vegan already has 64,000 followers on her Instagram account after posting a range of pictures where she sports animal-friendly outfits.

On her blog, she says: "My love for life, animals, travel and everything beautiful inspired me to start my blog.

"All the looks I share are against animal cruelty.

"I don’t want to hurt animals for an outfit because they need their skin more than I need bag or shoes.

"I believe we can all do a little bit to make the world a better place."
