A crocodile appears to have been spotted in the River Thames at Chelsea Harbour.
A video was posted on Twitter on Tuesday morning (October 10) showing the reptile poking its head out of the water.
However, police say they have not received any calls from members of the public.
Footage was shot by Dr Chris Davies and posted onto his Twitter account at around 8.30am.
He said he saw the creature behind the Chelsea Harbour Hotel while walking his dog at around 8.10am.
In his tweet, Dr Davies writes: “Chelsea Harbour has its very own croc. Police called.”
Metropolitan Police has said it can find no record of calls relating to the incident, and that local Kensington and Chelsea Police has not been alerted either.
Dr Davies said: “Two guys were looking at it as I walked towards them with my dog. One of them works for Chelsea Harbour Estate and said the police had been called.
“It’s not a big one so I was amused more than anything else.”
Staff at the hotel also said they were unaware of the incident, while Chelsea Harbour went further, saying: “There’s definitely no crocodile”.
