The capital's heatwave will simmer down as Bank Holiday weekend brings cooler weather for London after scorching tempatures.
Commuters travelled in sweltering conditions of over 30 degrees this week, with Wednesday (August 24) notching up to 32 degrees, prompting a level two weather warning .
However, bank holiday is on its way and in true British form, brings with it a turn in the good weather, although some sunny spells are still expected.
According to the Met Office , the outlook for Saturday to Monday is "humid, with scattered showers".
They said: "Saturday and Sunday is forecast to be humid with scattered showers developing by day, turning thundery at times.
"Monday should see fewer showers and more sunshine, feeling fresher in northwesterly breeze."
Temperatures of 23 degrees are predicted for Saturday, whereas Sunday and Monday see highs of 22, a significant drop from the week's heat.
