Families turned up in droves to a church summer fair in Hounslow on Saturday (26).

As the showers from the day before dried out and the sun was shining across the borough, The Church of the Good Shepherd on Beavers Lane was enjoyed by the young and old.

Children indulged in ice-cream to keep cool while parents and grandparents were out with their hats on mingling with the neighbours.

Other outdoors fun included face painting, games and a bouncy castle.

Back indoors children had the chance of bagging a variety of items from a frisbee and notebook to a bag and tiara set.

Funds raised on the day will go towards the church.
