A man has been bailed following an arrest on suspicion of drug-driving after a woman was left fighting for her life in Ealing due to a collision.
On Thursday (February 11), a 28-year-old woman was taken to hospital with life-threatening injuries after she was hit by a car in Northolt , Ealing.
Met police confirmed on Friday (February 12) that her condition remains "critical" following the collision, which occurred on the junction between Moat Farm Road and Mandeville Road.
Officers said they had arrested a 26-year-old man at the scene on suspicion of driving under the influence of drugs.
Police said the man was further arrested on suspicion of possession of a Class A drug, believed to be heroin, and causing injury by dangerous driving.
The force added on Friday (February 12) that the man, who was driving a silver VW Golf, has now been bailed until mid-June pending further enquiries.
London Ambulance Service (LAS), who attended the scene, said the woman was treated for a head injury and was taken to a major trauma centre at a west London hospital.
