Christmas: When do west London schools break up for the winter holidays?

It may seem like yesterday you were buying uniform and school books for the new school year after summer - but it's almost time for the Christmas break!

Once school's out for two weeks, you'll have to find ways to entertain your little ones, but help will be at hand - we'll be putting together guides to get you through the break with lots of ideas and things to do over the festive period.

But before all that there's definitely one thing you need to know - when the holiday starts and finishes.

Here are the essential dates for your diary:

Hillingdon : Christmas holidays start on Friday December 18 and end on Monday January 4

Ealing : Christmas holidays start on Monday December 21 and end on Friday January 1

Harrow : Christmas holidays start on Friday December 18 and end on Monday January 4

Brent : Christmas holidays start on Monday December 21 and end on Friday January 1

Hounslow : Christmas holidays start on Monday December 21 and end on Friday January 1

Hammersmith & Fulham : Christmas holidays start on Monday December 21 and end on Friday January 1

Kensington & Chelsea : Christmas holidays start on Monday December 21 and end on Friday January 1

These dates could be subject to change as some schools do differ, so if you're in doubt it's probably best to check with your child's teachers.
