Brentford have received enquiries from a couple of League Two clubs looking to take Scott Barron on loan.
The former Millwall full-back hasn't featured since the Johnstone's Paint Trophy win against AFC Wimbledon in September after suffering a recurrence of the hip problem that ruled him out of the final few months of last season.
However, the 28-year-old is back in full training and has turned out for the reserves to build up his match fitness.
Boss Mark Warburton said: "We have had a couple of clubs asking about Scott.
"Some players could go on loan to keep them match fit. However, we've got to make sure we are covered."
Jake Bidwell is Brentford's first-choice left-back, while skipper Tony Craig can also provide back-up.
Meanwhile, Warburton is hoping to sign a replacement for Arsenal striker Chuba Akpom, who returned to the Emirates this week.
