QPR travel to Germany for two fixtures in two days as they begin the home straight in their preparations for the start of the Sky Bet Championship season (2.30 kick-off BST)

Today's opponents are Union Berlin, for whom this will be their final pre-season fixture before their 2. Bundesliga campaign gets underway next weekend.

It's expected that Ian Holloway will look to give all 26 members of his travelling squad a significant amount of playing time over the two games, allowing each player to stake his claim for a place in Ollie's first team plans.

The Hoops' boss will have been encouraged by his team's display in their 4-2 victory over Peterborough United last weekend, and will be hoping for further signs of progress in this afternoon's clash.

It will also be a chance for QPR to be reunited with former striker Sebastian Polter, who joined the Berlin club in January this year.

Reporter Phil Spencer will be on hand to provide live updates from the clash in Berlin, as the Hoops hope to make it back-to-back wins in pre-season.

It's raining men...

The fans of both sets of fans still appear to be enjoying the atmosphere as the club DJ continues to work through his rain and water back catalogue. I sense he will keep going as long as possible purely out of Disc-Jockey pride!

Soggy bottoms

Despite the disappointment of the game being postponed...spirits seem to be high with both teams taking the opportunity to slide on the wet pitch. I bet their mothers will be furious!

Credit where credit's due

You’ve got to respect the fans in the stadium. Pouring with rain yet they’re still happy to walk around in their shorts with a beer. Commitment.

It doesn't look good...

I have to admit, this doesn’t bode well for the game continuing. The rain is still hammering down and the referee has been out to assess. I assume we’ll hear soon...

"Why does it always rain on me?"

The stadium DJ decided to play Travis’s rather fitting hit to the thousands of fans...quite the comedian!

Play suspended

The referee has stopped the game after 13 minutes due to torrential rain and a thunderstorm...the opening period was like watching the teams running through treacle!

First effort to Berlin

Union Berlin get the first shot on target with an effort from distance. Alex Smithies does well to cope in some torrential rain!

A similar set-up to last week...

Similar formation to last week, with Washington playing left, Mackie playing right, and Ngbakoto playing just off the target-man Matt Smith

10 minutes to kick off...

Over 10,000 fans are expected in Berlin to watch the Hoops in action, here’s hoping they for a good display from Ollie’s men.

A deserved recall

Great to see Ariel Borysiuk called into the starting line-up. Ollie acknowledged how he had been putting in the work behind the scenes and certainly impressed when introduced last week against Peterborough United.

Slightly harsh on young Ryan Manning but you’d think he’ll be likely to start in tomorrow’s clash.
