Hugo Rodallega is loving life at Fulham and the Whites are reaping the rewards, according to manager Kit Symons.

The Cottagers striker’s ninth goal of the season was enough to beat Leeds United at Elland Road this afternoon.

That made it six in eight games for Rodallega as his second-half winner in Yorkshire pushed the Whites further away from the relegation zone.

“Confidence is a huge thing in football but especially with strikers I think,” Symons told the official Fulham website.

“His confidence is up and he’s really, really enjoying his football.

“I think you can see that and I think someone like Hugo, who’s a lovely lad, wears his heart on his sleeve and he needs to be happy, he needs to feel loved and he’s certainly that at Fulham.

“He’s enjoying his football and we’re loving him scoring all the goals for us.

“Leeds have got a great home record under Neil [Redfearn] so we knew it would be a tough game but I was delighted with the performance, and obviously the result today.

"It was very important, especially on the back of getting battered 5-0 at home by Watford the week before.

“We regrouped, worked very well during the week, had a good build up to this game and I thought it was a real solid performance and we deserved to win it in the end."

Meanwhile, Leeds United manager Neil Redfearn insists his side should be beating teams like Fulham after watching the Cottagers triumph at Elland Road.
