Leeds United 0-1 Fulham

Hugo Rodallega’s ninth Fulham goal of the season was enough to beat Leeds United at Elland Road this afternoon.

The in-form striker made it six in eight games with a second-half winner in Yorkshire to push the Whites further away from the relegation zone.

Gabor Kiraly took possession of the gloves as Marcus Bettinelli served a suspension after being sent off in the 5-0 thrashing by Watford last Friday.

Stretch: Leeds United's Adryan (C) has a shot at goal

Fulham managed to keep the home side quiet in the early stages until Alex Mowatt crashed a header against the crossbar on the half-hour mark.

Sam Byram forced Kiraly into a smart save and on-loan Manchester City midfielder Seko Fofana had a chance at the other end as a goalless first half came to a close.

The goal finally arrived on the hour as Rodallega seized onto Lasse Vigen Christensen’s cross from the byline and powered home what proved to be the winner.

Heads! Leeds United's Liam Cooper goes up for the ball

Fulham fans had their hearts in their mouths when Adryan fired wide from Billy Sharp’s wayward cross that left Kiraly in no man’s land.

Rodallega spurned a simple chance to hit double figures for the season late on but the Colombian’s miss didn’t prove costly as the Whites held on for three points.

The result leaves Fulham 14th in the Championship table, seven points clear of the drop zone.
