Chelsea boss Jose Mourinho insists he has no security concerns ahead of his side's Champions League clash at Maccabi Tel Aviv tomorrow.

The terrorist attacks in Paris 10 days ago led to tightened measures at football matches across the world at the weekend, especially as France's international friendly against Germany was one of the targets in Paris.

Fourteen years ago, six Blues players controversially pulled out of a UEFA Cup tie at Hapoel Tel Aviv following an escalation of troubles in Israel and the Middle East.

Worrying times: Chelsea's tie against Hapoel Tel Aviv in 2001 was beset by security concerns

Mourinho said: "The best way is to focus on football and happiness sit gives you. Leave security questions to the people that know more than we do.

"We can only focus on playing. I didn’t hear a single problem inside of the squad. We are very focused on what we need to do.

"I have everybody without fears, just wanting to come. I even have a player that tomorrow his wife can have a baby and he is here to play because he knows how important it is for me."

Meanwhile, Mourinho insists Chelsea will go into the tie full of confidence after beating Norwich 1-0 on Saturday, ending a run of three straight Premier League defeats.

He added: "I like the confidence the team showed against Norwich, under the pressure of needing a result. My players are confident, and are getting their confidence back and hopefully tomorrow we can do more.

"We know we had bad results for a significant period of time and we need to keep getting results for our happiness, pride and for the people that support us – the Chelsea fans.”
