Alan Judge insists he's got a point to prove at Brentford next season after sealing a permanent move to Griffin Park.

The Bees agreed an undisclosed fee with Blackburn Rovers for the Irish winger, who penned a three-year deal in TW8.

Judge, who scored seven goals in 22 games on loan in west London last season, was restricted to just seven starts in the Championship for Rovers.

And the 25-year-old insists he's got unfinished business in the second tier as he tries to make his mark with Mark Warburton's men.

He said: “For me personally it is a bit of a chance to prove myself in the Championship.

“I didn’t really get a chance under the manager at Blackburn Rovers.

“I had the option to come here and I know I have come to the right club.

“The players that we have got here are top quality players and I look forward to playing with them again.

“Hopefully we can have a good go in the Championship this year and in the years to come.”

Judge fired the winner against Preston on Good Friday that clinched promotion from League One.

And the former Notts County man says he was desperate to seal a permanent switch to the Bees.

“As soon as my loan spell ended the first thing I started to think about was whether I could come back,” he told the club's website.

"I am delighted to have signed here and to have come back to Brentford. The loan spell here was great for me.

“Obviously what happened on the pitch was fantastic and even though I was the lucky one to get the goal to get promotion I think we were always going to achieve it.

“I really enjoyed my loan spell here and they are a great group of lads here.

“I feel like I have settled in really well here and the lads have taken to me well and that makes things so much easier.

“Having the loan spell here last season really helped me to make my mind up to sign here."
