Jake Reeves will not reign in his combative style of play despite his rising yellow card count for AFC Wimbledon.

The Wombles' midfield general has just returned from a one-match suspension for clocking up five bookings and promptly registered a sixth for a spicy challenge on former team-mate Sammy Moore in Saturday's 1-1 draw at Leyton Orient.

The 22-year-old former Brentford man is not though about to adopt a more softly, softly approach, viewing the occasional yellow card as an occupational hazard for someone operating in the engine room of a side in League Two.

"It is the league we are in," Reeves said.

"We are not here to give people time on the ball, we are here to go and put our foot in and be aggressive.

"You need to be more aggressive than the other team in this league and unfortunately I play in a position where you are always going to be in and around that sort of battle.

"So I'm not worried about that, I'll just carry on playing my own game."

Adebayo Akinfenwa's late header saved a deserved point for Neal Ardley's side against the 10-man Os' who had John Marquis sent off just before the hour as Wimbledon bounced back from their defeat to Dagenham & Redbridge.
