A teenage girl is said to be in a "serious but stable" condition following a collision in Willow Tree Lane in Yeading.

Emergency services were called to the scene at around 3.30pm on Tuesday (May 23), following reports of a road traffic collision.

Upon arriving, police officers found a female pedestrian in collision with a car.

Believed to be aged 15, the girl was taken to a central London hospital by London Ambulance Service.

A spokesman from the Metropolitan Police told getwestlondon : "Her condition is non life-threatening and they are assessing the nature of the head injury that was sustained."

They added that she was "serious but stable".

A spokesman for London Ambulance Service said: “We were called at 3.25pm to reports of a road traffic collision at Willow Tree Lane in Hayes.

“We sent an ambulance crew and a single responder in a car, and an incident response officer to the scene.

“London’s air ambulance was also dispatched.

“We treated a teenage girl for a head injury and took her, as a priority, to a central London hospital.”

According to the police, the driver of the car stopped at the scene, and no arrests were made.

The road was closed following the collision and Transport for London (TfL) reported delays in the area, with traffic queuing on the A312 in Hayes .

Police confirmed the road was reopened at 19.21 on Tuesday (May 23), with bus routes returning to normal.

The girl remained in a serious but stable condition on Wednesday May 24, according to police.

No arrests have been made.
