A woman was seriously sexually assaulted on a Tube station platform at South Ealing Underground Station.

The 28-year-old woman was subjected to a "horrific" ordeal on the Piccadilly line platform between 2.30am and 3.30am on Sunday, October 22.

Shortly after the incident police released a picture of a man they wanted to speak with in connection to the incident and have now re-appealed with CCTV footage from the platform.

British Transport Police is also keen to speak with anyone who was in the area at the time or may have witnessed the incident.

Detective Constable Matthew Nolan said: “This was a horrific incident. We are re-appealing for any information, big or small, which could help us in the investigation.

"We have specially trained officers supporting the woman as the investigation progresses. I would like to speak urgently to anyone who knows the man in the CCTV image or to anyone who knows anything about the incident.

“If you have any information, no matter how insignificant it may seem to you, please call us on 0800 40 50 40 or text 61016 citing reference 263 of 22/10. Your information could prove vital to the investigation.”
