The family of the young boy seriously hurt in a collision with a motorbike in Ealing have been found.
The child was hurt on Popes Lane at the junction with Knight’s Avenue , shortly after 12.15pm on Saturday (March 18), suffering injuries to his head and leg.
Police, who launched an urgent appeal to contact his family, say relatives have now been traced.
Officers also revealed the injured boy is a 12-year-old who is remains in hospital in a stable condition but is now able to speak with hospital staff.
Detectives from the Met’s Roads and Transport Policing Command are continuing to appeal for witnesses to the collision.
At this early stage it is believed that he got off a Route E3 bus and moments later the collision occurred.
The motorcyclist, who stopped at the scene, was not arrested and is assisting detectives with their enquiries.
