Police are searching for a suspect following an armed robbery in West Kensington .

Officers were called to a commercial premises in North End Road on Tuesday (September 26) afternoon, at 12.38pm.

Officers from the Met's Trojan unit attended, but the suspect had fled the scene with a quantity of cash and goods.

The suspect is still on the loose.

Witnesses say armed police are still at the scene, close to West Kensington Estate.

Witness: Armed police wearing bullet-proof vests

The witness at the scene at around 4.30pm today told getwestlondon that armed police had surrounded West Kensington Estate near Fulham Boys School, and that it looked like Carphone Warehouse had been broken into.

He said there were about five police cars with officers wearing body armour.

Officers were called at approximately 12.38pm on Tuesday September 26 following reports of an armed robbery in progress at a commercial premises in North End Road, W12.

Officers from the Trojan unit attended.

The suspect had fled the scene with a quantity of cash and goods.

There were no injuries.

Attempts to locate the suspect are ongoing.
