The school of a pupil stabbed to death in Kensal Green has paid tribute to the 15-year-old.

Metropolitan Police said it was called shortly before 3.30pm on Monday (January 23) by London Ambulance Service (LAS) to the stabbing in Doyle Gardens .

Officers attended and the boy, named as Quamari Barnes, was suffering from stab wounds.

He was taken by LAS to hospital where we was later pronounced dead.

His next of kin have been made aware.

A statement from Capital City Academy made this morning (Tuesday January 24) said: "It is with overwhelming sadness that Capital City Academy must confirm the sudden death of one of its students on Monday 23rd January.

"Our thoughts and prayers are with the family at this very sad time; and also with friends, fellow students and teachers.

"Capital City Academy will be offering a counselling service to students and staff.

"If anyone has any information relating to this tragic event please contact the Police via 101.

"To give information anonymously contact Crimestoppers 0800 555 111."

Tributes are beginning to emerge online from friends of the 15-year-old victim, who has been described as a "good person".

A tribute posted on Facebook by Hephzibah Oliver said: “Another premature death of another youth in our NW10 community.

“There will be no more laughter, no more jokes nor teasing heard from 15 year old Quamari, who was stabbed earlier this afternoon outside our local School, Capital City Academy, Harlesden. My condolences to the family.”
