Hospital bosses have apologised after a shocked couple arrived to find pornography being screened in the maternity unit.
Loredana Sueluru and her husband Narces were stunned to see graphic sex showing on a TV at Northwick Park Hospital , in Brent , the Daily Star reported.
The 24-year-old, who is 23 weeks pregnant, told the paper the X-rated scenes were showing for about 20 minutes as they waited to be seen, and there was no one available with whom they could flag up the problem.
A spokesman for the hospital, which is run by London North West Healthcare NHS Trust, said: "We would like to apologise to the couple concerned for the upset caused.
"This was a genuine error with a digital TV channel having been on which, between 2am and 3am, broadcasts material of an adult nature.
"If our staff had been made aware then they would have changed the channel immediately."
Last week, the cast of cult comedy Green Wing gathered outside the hospital in a show of solidarity with striking junior doctors.
