Pictures showing the aftermath of a fatal collision in Hayes on Saturday (April 1) have emerged.

The Metropolitan Police were called to Uxbridge Road near Yeading Lane at around 12.50pm after reports of a serious crash involving a motorbike and a car.

Emergency services found a 38-year-old motorbike rider injured at the scene and he was pronounced dead at around 1.12pm.

Pictures show police and multiple ambulances on the scene as well as a blue police tent set up at the side of Uxbridge Road, not far from the Lombardy Shopping Park.

The man's next of kin have been informed but he has not yet been formally identified.

Police have appealed for any witnesses to the crash to come forward to provide information.

The driver of the car, a man in his 50s, stopped at the scene and was not arrested.

On Monday morning, (April 3), the Metropolitan Police said there had been no further updates.
