A man in his early 20s has died following a crash in Greenford on Saturday (May 27).

Metropolitan Police officers and London Ambulance Service paramedics were called to the scene after a 21-year-old pedestrian was struck by a white Volkswagen van in Whitton Avenue East.

The man was taken to a north London hospital with life-threatening injuries, where he died in the early hours of Monday (May 29).

A Metropolitan Police spokesman said: "His next of kin have been informed.

"A post-mortem examination will be held in due course.

"Enquiries continue into the full circumstances of the collision. There have been no arrests."

Detectives from the Serious Collision Investigation Unit (SCIU) based at Alperton Traffic Garage are investigating.
