Three people were taken "as priority" to hospital following a serious collision in Hounslow this morning.

Police have been carrying out an investigation at Green Lane, Hounslow , all day after a car collided with at least two female pedestrians at around 9.30am on Tuesday (January 17).

At least one other person was also injured, according to the London Ambulance Service.

Delays are all cleared and the road was re-opened between Causeway and Salisbury Road just before 5pm following the crash.

An LAS spokesman said: “We were called today at 9.32am to an incident on Green Lane Hounslow.

"We sent a number of resources to the scene including three ambulance crews and an incident response officer.

"London's Air Ambulance was also dispatched.

“We treated three patients and took them to hospital as a priority."

Earlier, A Metropolitan Police spokesman said: "A car was in collision with two pedestrians - both women.

"Both the women are believed to be aged in their mid 20s.

"Both were taken to hospital. One has injuries treated as life threatening.

"The other has injuries treated as life changing.

"A car failed to stop at the scene."

A driver was later stopped according to the police.

A 39-year-old driver has been arrested for causing injury by dangerous driving.
