A “predator” from Ealing who offered to get a woman home before forcing her into parkland and raping her has been jailed for 10 years.

Kiya Grisoli, of Gurnell Grove, was found guilty of six counts of rape after a seven-day trial at Harrow Crown Court on October 24.

During his trial, the court heard the 23-year-old had befriended a woman who he had spotted at Ealing Broadway Station at 5.20am on May 13.

The woman rebuffed his approaches, but he then followed her onto a bus, approached her when she left the bus and then offered to escort her home, police said.

Grisoli then forced her into parkland in Perivale where he carried out a “prolonged attack”, which included threats of violence to the woman.

The attack took place between 5.30am and 6.30am in an area between Stockdove Way, Ruislip Road East and Argyle Road.

The victim escaped from Grisoli and ran to a woman who was passing, who called the police and stayed with her while the “predator” lurked in the area.

Detectives from the Child Abuse and Sexual Offences command (CASO) launched an investigation, which included a public appeal to trace the suspect.

Grisoli was sentenced to 10 years in prison after raping a woman in parkland

After CCTV from the area was recovered along with forensic evidence which implicated Grisoli, and he was arrested the following day and charged with several counts of rape.

Detective Inspector Christine Edgar spoke after Grisoli was jailed for 10 years on Friday (December 1) at Harrow Crown Court.

'Acted like a predator'

He said: “Grisoli acted like a predator throughout this attack – approaching, following and attacking his victim in a calculated, deliberate and vicious manner.

“I am pleased to see justice done today and would like to praise the bravery of the young woman who gave evidence and the members of the public who assisted in the investigation.

“I hope that today's verdict helps the victim move on from what has been a horrendous ordeal and reassures the public that the Met will investigate crimes of this nature thoroughly and robustly.”

The incident happened in parkland between Argyle Road, Stockdove Way and Ruislip Road East

The woman who assisted the victim later gave important evidence in court, which the judge commended her for, and she received a £500 reward at the end of the trial.

Grisoli was sentenced to 10 years on each count of rape to run concurrently and, due to his “dangerous nature”, he will serve at least two-thirds of the sentence.

He will also be on an extended licence for a further four years and will remain on the Sex Offenders' Register for life.
