A car collided with a wall on the Greenford Roundabout causing the slip road to the A40 westbound to be closed.

The incident occurred at 3.20pm on Sunday (July 3) after the vehicle crashed into a wall on the roundabout and has caused traffic delays in the Greenford area.

Four fire engines were called to the scene, as well as two ambulances, a police car and a police van, with the driver of the vehicle being taken to hospital as a result of the crash.

Police do not yet know the condition of the driver but a spokesperson for the force said that they were the only person being treated for injuries.

The westbound access to the A40 was shut for over an hour, as was one lane on the roundabout.

An ambulance had its tyres slashed on Saturday (July 2) night as it responded to an unrelated incident where a man was hit on the A40 at the roundabout.
