Detectives investigating a fatal shooting in Shepherd's Bush have arrested a man.

Officers arrested the 18-year-old man on Tuesday (October 25), on suspicion of murder. He is currently in custody at a west London police station.

Police were called by the London Ambulance Service at approximately 2.40am on Saturday (October 22) to reports of a male unconscious at a residential address in Askew Road, W12 .

Officers attended and the man was found suffering from a chest wound. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

A post-mortem examination took place at 9am on Monday (October 24) at Fulham Mortuary and established the cause of death as a bullet wound to the chest .

Detectives from the Homicide and Major Crime Command are investigating.
