A man stabbed to death on a Southall street has been named as Harinder Rattan.

The 41-year-old was found injured and collapsed on Clarence Street, the road where Kate Middleton's mum Carol grew up, close to midnight on Sunday January 4.

A post-mortem on Tuesday (January 6) at Fulham Mortuary found the cause of death to be multiple stab wounds. Four men have been arrested and two of them, Shamaun Salhotra, 29 and Sanjay Salhotra, 26, were charged with murder. They are understood to be residents of Clarence Street as well as Mr Rattan.

The pair were due to appear at Wimbledon Magistrates Court today (Wednesday, January 7).

A 20-year-old who was arrested on January 5 on suspicion of murder has been bailed to a date in mid January and a 27-year-old who was arrested on January 6 on suspicion of murder remains in custody at a London police station.

Clarence Street in Southall was cordoned off in the early hours of Monday morning after Mr Rattan was found collapsed. Police were called at 11.49pm on Sunday January 4 to Clarence Street, to reports of an injured man. He was taken to a west London hospital but was sadly pronounced dead at 1.10am on Monday, January 5.
