A man's body was found on the tracks between East Acton and North Acton Underground stations.
British Transport Police (BTP) officers were called to reports of the body on the line just before 8am on Sunday (December 14).
The body has now been confirmed as a 29-year-old man of Hanwell.
A BTP spokesman said: “London Ambulance Service also attended and a man was pronounced dead at the scene.
“The man’s family has been informed.
“The incident is not being treated as suspicious and a file will be prepared for the coroner.
“The Rail Accident Investigation Branch has been notified.”
