Families on Isleworth's Ivybridge estate donated two crates packed with provisions to a food bank supporting those living on the breadline.

Parents whose children attend the daily 'Play and Stay' sessions at the estate's BridgeLink Centre clubbed together to collect the much-needed supplies.

The groceries were presented to Richmond Foodbank, which has a base at the community centre in Summerwood Road, last Thursday (October 23).

BridgeLink Centre manager Tracy Hiney said she was touched by the 'heartfelt' donation as many of the families living on the estate, which is one of the most deprived in Hounslow, are themselves strapped for cash.
