Young people in Isleworth threw themselves into sports from boxing to slacklining on Saturday as they tried to find the perfect fit.

They were given the chance to try a variety of sports at the BridgeLink Centre on the Ivybridge estate, in Summerwood Road during the day.

Street dance, football and self defence taster sessions were also on the menu, giving people the chance to sample some of the sports being offered throughout the year as part of the Connecting Communities initiative.

A rotating programme of sports is available on the estate between now and the end of July next year.

The weekly sessions are being run by Sport Impact, with funding from the Youth Sport Trust and People's Health Lottery.

Slacklining - a variation on tightrope walking - is currently available on Saturdays, and people can learn self defence on Tuesdays.
