If you are well organised and love to travel then then you are in luck.

We have figured out how you can get more days off as holiday but by booking off less days on annual leave - TWICE next year.

In May there is an opportunity to jet off for 24 days but by only taking 14 days off work, while in August you can have a two-week break but only use eight days of holiday.

This means that while you rub your hands with glee, you can take a peaceful holiday to a European seaside town or even go further afield on a backpack adventure.

So, how does this work?

There are two bank holidays in May which mean if you coordinate your holiday plans correctly, you can jet off for 24 days by only taking 14 days off work.

This can be done by booking off Monday May 7 to Monday May 28 which means your final day at work would be Friday May 4 and you will return to work on Tuesday May 29.

But don't fear if you are unable to take this window of opportunity due to other commitments because there is another gap in August which could work for you.

The four-day Easter weekend in 2018 means you can grab 14 days off in a row by only using eight days of holiday.

Fancy being here for 24 days? We do too!

This is because Good Friday is on Friday March 30 while Easter Monday is on Monday April 2.

You can book off Monday March 26 to Friday April 6, including the weekends and the three-day Easter holidays which means 14 days off work in a row.

Your first day off work would be Saturday March 24 and you would return to the office on Monday April 9.

Dates and numbers aside, you can now crack on with your travelling research and book super cheap flights - who knew being organised was so rewarding?
