Valentine's Day is coming up this weekend, with the day of love being celebrated by couples around the world on Sunday (February 14).

Many of you may have planned romantic dinners or outings in London to show your loved one how much you care, but what if you're looking to head to a park or a walk outside? Will you and your lover be kissing in the rain, or basking in the sun?

Forecasters are predicting chilly weather, with a rainy Saturday putting a dampener on any outdoor evening plans.

A spokeswoman from The Met Office said: "Sunday itself is not too bad actually. It's cloudy and about six degrees, so it might be a little chilly. We might be seeing a little bit of sunshine during the day.

"Saturday looks worse. There will be some heavy rain, which won't be too pleasant; it'll be about five degrees.

"It'll be a cold evening of around three degrees overnight if people are venturing out for dinner."

The good news is, there's plenty to do in London when the weather is awful. Here are some ideas of things you can do with your date indoors, away from the cold.

Go for a meal

There's nothing more romantic than heading to a candlelit restaurant for an intimate dinner with your loved one.

Head to the cinema

It's a classic date idea for a reason; what's more romantic than sharing a bag of popcorn and watching a brilliant film - especially with Oscar season coming up. Try a new, award-nominated film such as Joy, The Danish Girl or Room.
