The search is on to uncover the Hounslow borough's next superstar.

Hounslow Has Talent 2015 launched its annual contest to find the next big act to win its top prize of £500.

This year's competitors - whether they are singers, dancers, comedians, gymnasts or magicians - will be following in the footsteps of the 2014 winners, a trio of young gymnasts Lauren, Lizzie and Addie, and 2013 winners, dance duo Frequency and Neptune, from Brentford.

Organiser Ray Coleman, also secretary of Feltham Bees Disabled Sports Club, has organised the event once again with the help of Ruth Wood of Feltham Arts.

The contest will also be in support of Mayor of Hounslow Corinna Smart's two charities of the year - Hounslow Community Food Box and London Wildlife Trust.

Hounslow community food box is a community-run food bank open to people who cannot afford to feed themselves or their family.

The London Wildlife Trust a charity dedicated to protecting the capital's wildlife and their open spaces.

The event is sponsored by Feltham Arts, Cultural Community Solutions, Hounslow Arts Centre and Hounslow council.

To apply, contestants are asked to upload a video to youtube and complete an online form by April 24. Acts will be shortlisted and invited to audition on Saturday May 16.

Up to 13 acts will then be selected to give a show-stopping performance at the finals on June 13, at the Paul Robeson Theatre, in front of guest judges and audiences. A special guest act will also perform on the evening.

The winner will receive a cheque for £500 and will perform at the Mayor's Making Ceremony in July and at the Domestic Trophy Tour (part of the Rugby World Cup build-up) in September.

The act in second place will receive £200 and third place a £100 Asda gift voucher.
