Prudential RideLondon is the largest festival of cycling in the world - and that means many of London's roads will be closed during the two-day event.

More than 95,000 participants are expected to ride more than 3m miles over five events at this year's event over Saturday August 1 and Sunday August 2.

The event combines the fun of a free family ride in central London with the excitement of watching the world's best professional cyclists (including Sir Bradley Wiggins and Laura Trott), and raises millions of pounds for good causes.

As well as professional cycling events locals can watch, there is a 100-mile challenge on closed roads, in which amateur cyclists can partake and raise money.

Due to the races taking place on closed roads, a lot of central and west London will be shut down for the event.

Below we've provided all the information you need to enjoy the race and get around effectively, along with route maps for three of the races, courtesy of Prudential RideLondon:

"Public transport, walking and cycling will be the best ways to get around. However, some buses will be on diversion or will finish early due to the road closures and tube stations will be busy."
