Prudential RideLondon is a world-class festival of cycling, that this year will take place over Saturday July 30 and Sunday July 31.

Staged for the first time in August 2013, more than 25,000 cyclists descended on the capital last year for the weekend event.

The event combines the fun of a free family ride in central London with the excitement of watching the world's best professional cyclists, and raises millions of pounds for good causes.

As well as professional cycling events locals can watch, there is a 100-mile challenge on closed roads, in which amateur cyclists can partake and raise money. This year, there will also be a new event added, 46, which comprises a 46-mile route on traffic-free roads.

But what's going on and when? Get these dates in your diary!

Saturday July 30:

  • FreeCycle (9am to 4pm): Offers families the opportunity to experience the fun and freedom of cycling on traffic-free roads in central London.
  • Classiqe (5pm to 7.30pm): The new Prudential RideLondon Classique women's race will take place on a spectacular 5.5km circuit in central London.
