Notting Hill Carnival is getting warmed up for another huge festival in west London, celebrating Caribbean culture.

London's Afro-Caribbean communities have been celebrating their culture and traditions with the two-day festival since 1964.

Around 500 people came then, and now around one million people attend the carnival annually, with the event getting bigger and better every year

This year, the carnival will take place over the August bank holiday weekend; Saturday August 29 to Monday August 31. The main carnival parade and events will take place on the final two days.

Here's all you need to know about the festival schedule and timings:

A precursor to the festival, The Association of The British Calypsonians will be hosting the 23rd London Calypso Tent in Notting Hill.
