Rock titans Muse have unveiled a new single ahead of their festival stint this summer.

Much to fans' delight after seven years, the release of Dig Down marks the Brit band's first standalone single since Neutron Star Collision (Love is Forever) in 2010.

The band, made up of Matt Bellamy, Chris Wolstenholme and Dominic Howard, have sold more than 20 million albums worldwide, so it's no wonder news of their return to Reading and Leeds caused hysteria.

The boys last played the festival in 2011, so their 2017 return looks set to be filled with hits, both old and new.

Muse will be headlining Reading Festival on Sunday (August 27) and will play Leeds on Friday (August 25).

Their new single Dig Down was released - alongside a new classic-sci-fi-styled video - on Thursday (May 18) and is available to download now .

Reading Festival tickets, lockers and mobile charging pack passes are available via Ticketmaster .
