London's famous Mela Festival is soon to return to Gunnersbury Park in Ealing, with festivities taking place on Sunday September 6.

The event, Europe's largest South Asian festival, returns with a spectacular line-up of live music, dance, visual arts and food from South Asia.

The festival will feature the best in classical music, British Asian urban artists, dance, comedy and cabaret, Asian-influenced street theatre and circus, and exhibitions.

The BBC Asian Network Stage and Main Stage line-ups have been announced; here's what's going on at the Global Local Stage!

Global Local Stage

  • Dila V & The Odd Beats: Turkish and Balkan dance beats combine with Greek Rebetiko amongst other world music in this set. Fronted by singers Dila Vardar & Djanan Turan and featuring Nicki Maher's clarinet, this set is not one to miss!

  • DJ Parm Panesar: Parm Panesar is a musical amalgamation of Eastern and Western sounds. Parnesar taught Dhol for Johnny Kalsi's Dhol Foundation, before turning to DJing.

  • Hussain Brothers Qawwali Group: Hussain Brothers have been performing for 18 years in and out of the UK. Performing a set of Qawwali, Sufi Qawwali, Bollywood Qawwali, Modern Day Qawwali Ghazal and Geet, Hussain Brothers are famous for incorporating different languages into their Qawwali such as Hindi, Punjabi, Urdu and Persian.

  • Shane Tong: Shane Solanki is a writer, performer music producer and spoken word artist from London. His first album, a collaboration with Indian electronic music producer Bandish Projekt, will be released on Bheja Fry Records later this year.

Ajay Chhabra, artistic director of the London Mela, said: "People know to expect the unexpected at London Mela, we make the ordinary extraordinary. In a place where people are used to, it takes empty space and makes it lively and vibrant."
