There is a new attraction just outside London which is so terrifying and unique that true thrill-seekers will really want to make the journey.

In fact, you even need to sign a waiver before entering - it's that intense.

The 4D House of Horror launches on Friday, September 28 in Brentwood, Essex.

Because there is nothing quite like it around, it has to be worth the hours journey by train from central london.

It recreates classic film scenes but are there are no cushions to hide behind here - this isn't for the faint-hearted.

So what can you expect?

The attraction is so terrifying you need to sign a waiver to enter

Well, the immersive experience features a full cast of highly-trained actors ready to twist and turn you through film-grade sets designed by the best, to do their worst.

Decaying in the depths of Brentwood, a blood-soaked path draws you towards a vast, abandoned house.

Inside, spirits are awoken and nightmares are realised as you embark on your battle through 12 rooms of sheer torture.

These are your darkest fears so prepare to take centre stage in scenes reminiscent of Hollywood's most terrifying films where you become the victim… are you brave enough to step inside?

Fight your way through each zone of terror as the house throws up a chilling array of physical and psychological challenges.

You'll find yourself exorcising a demon as you witness a possessed girl’s head twist 360 degrees, while if you take a wrong turn in the Macabre Maze you'll meet a sinister fate.

With areas including Sci-Fi-Die, Krow Killers and Medical Madness, you'll join forces with up to 10 friends to see who can make it out alive.

Visitors also have the option of receiving a video of the whole experience filmed on a GoPro

Should you survive the ordeal, you will have the choice to enter the mysterious Room 13, a room so intense that visitors are required to sign a waiver before entering because of the torture endured inside.

Visitors also have the option of receiving a video of the whole experience filmed on a GoPro, have photos taken in a specially themed booth complete with gory props, as well as visit the weird and wonderful gift shop.

Guests can also revel in the fright of others by spectating live on Fright Vision, while plenty of street food and refreshments will be available to help them level their nerves and bring adrenaline levels back down to normal.
