Happy Mother's Day! What better way to celebrate the day than snuggling up to a bedtime story with none other than Tom Hardy.

Yes, the Hammersmith born actor will be returning to our television screens on BBC's CBeebies channel on Sunday, March 26, following an extremely popular reading on both New Year's Eve and Valentine's Day.

A post shared by the television network on March 13 has already received almost 8,000 likes and mums have been going crazy.

Facebook user Vicki McBain commented: "Best Birthday & Mothers Day gift EVER".

To which CBeebies responded: "We aim to please".

Kerry-Louise Bissell was also impressed, she wrote: "I actually love you CBeebies"

Conversation over Twitter also suggests that it won't be just the target audience of pre-school children tuning in for a story before bed time.

Taking to Twitter, Fiona Pollock wrote: "This year will be a very happy Mothers Day to all the Tom Hardy loving Momma's out there! #TomHardy #MothersDay"

Whilst Rianda wrote: "Tom Hardy reading CBeebies' bedtime story on Mother's Day. Well played, CBeebies scheduler. Well played."

The Hollywood hunk is following in the footsteps of actors like David Tennant, Bob Brydon and James McAvoy as a storyteller on the popular children's show.

This time around, the 39-year-old will be reading "There's a Bear on My Chair", by Ross Collins.

You can catch the Oscar-nominated actor on CBeebies from 6.50pm until 7pm on March 26.
