The Viaduct Tavern
Built on the site of a former jail, this historic pub still has five of the cells visible in the basement.
Restless spirits are said to haunt The Viaduct Tavern, with a propensity towards terrorising the pub's cellars.
In 1996, a manager was tidying the cellar, when the door suddenly slammed shut and the lights went out.
Feeling his way to the door, he found that no matter how hard he pushed it just would not open.

The Tower of London
Legend has it that after Anne Boleyn was executed in the Tower of London, her spirit continues to haunt the tower to this day, along with other ghosts including Arabella Stuart and a ghostly bear.

Bleeding Heart Yard
Bleeding Heart Yard is a small square in Farringdon with a rather grisly history.
According to legend, in 1626 the mutilated body of Lady Elizabeth Hatton was found in the courtyard.
She had been murdered and her limbs strewn across the ground, but her heart was found still beating.

Brompton Cemetery
Although Brompton Cemetery is reported to not be haunted, it is one of the most beautiful cemeteries in London, and right on our doorsteps in Earl's Court.

The Old Operating Theatre Museum
The Old Operating Theatre Museum is a museum of surgical history and one of the oldest surviving operating theatres.
To enter the museum today, you have to climb 52 spiral stairs in the church’s tower.
Inside the very theatre old-age surgeries would take place without any anaesthetic, pain relief or antiseptics.
Visit this spooky museum and listen out for the blood-curdling screams of previous patients.

Handel House Museum
Two people claimed to see a ghost in 2001 when Handel's House was being prepared to open to the public as a museum, with the House's owners even calling in an exorcism.

Theatre Royal Drury Lane
The Theatre Royal Drury Lane is reportedly the most haunted theatre in the world.
The theatre is said to host several ghosts; two clowns and a mysterious "Man in Grey".

Greenwich Foot Tunnel
Greenwich Foot Tunnel is a creepy underground pass open 24 hours a day.
Although not strictly "haunted", many passers-by have reported a feeling of being followed until they walk through the other side.
Hampstead Heath
Hampstead Heath is an ancient London park, which is said to be haunted by many different ghosts.
From a ghost at the Hampstead pub, to a young girl who stands on the High Street, to reports of footsteps on Church Row, there's plenty of spooky sights to see at this north London park.
Farringdon Tube Station
People have claimed to hear her cries of Anne Naylor, who was murdered in 1758, echoing down Farringdon Tube Station.
She has been nicknamed 'The Screaming Spectre'.

From its opening in 1144 to its closure six-hundred years later, The Clink Prison has become associated with misery, pain and suffering.

Queen Elizabeth Hospital for Children
Now derelict, the Queen Elizabeth Hospital for Children opened in 1866 following a cholera outbreak.
It is said that you can still hear the screams of the dying children who once stayed in the haunted building.

While not said to be haunted itself, The London Dungeons are the number one gory attraction to visit in London this Halloween.
