It's that time of year again! Halloween is rolling around in a few weeks, and where better to spend the spooky celebration than at Thorpe Park for its famous Fright Night events?
From enjoying thrilling rides in the pitch black darkness, to taking on the petrifying live-action mazes, Thorpe Park has it all this Halloween... If you're brave enough!
So if you're thinking of heading to the iconic theme park this autumn for the 15th anniversary of the terrifying Fright Night events, here's everything you need to know.
Fright Nights begin on Friday October 7 and run through:
- Friday October 7 to Sunday October 9
- Friday October 14 to Sunday October 16
- Friday October 21 to Monday October 31
The park is open from 10am to 10pm, Fright Nights attractions open from 3pm.
Rides open at night include THE SWARM, SAW, and Stealth.
Halloween mazes include: The Big Top, Containment, The Cabin in the Woods, SAW, and brand new for 2016 are Platform No. 15 and Blair Witch.
The newest and most exciting maze, Platform No. 15 takes the form of a deserted railroad... Depart on a one way ticket and trek along the overgrown railway line, the last known route of vanished locomotive the Sleeper Express.
Each ride has its own height restrictions ranging from 0.9m to 1.4m minimum. Fright Nights mazes are an intense experience, so they are not recommended for anyone under the age of 13 .
Tickets for Fright Nights begin from £29.99 online ; it is strongly recommended that you book tickets in advance, as the events are extremely popular.
Standard tickets start at £27.99 when bought in advance online.
If you are buying on the day prices are £51.50 for adults and £44.99 for children (under 12 years of age).
Under 3's enter Thorpe Park for free.
How to get there
Car: From the M25 take junctions 11 or 13 and follow A320 to Thorpe Park. Parking charges are £5 per car.
By train: Regular South West Trains services run from London Waterloo direct to Staines. Trains run every 30 minutes with a journey time of 46 minutes, and a less frequent service running on Sundays.
By bus: Staines bus station is a five-minute walk from the railway station. Buses to Thorpe Park depart from Stand 2, however the 950 Thorpe Park Express departs directly from the railway station running every 15-20 minutes.
