Hammersmith's renowned venue the Eventim Apollo has unveiled its space for premium corporate entertaining with a night hosted by comedian Russell Kane.

The venue's new development includes an aluminium modular floor, which can be installed overnight to transform the sloping view for watching gigs into a split-level flat floor, ideal for seated events for up to 720 people.

With the new adjustable flooring, the space can accommodate events including awards ceremonies, product launches, fashion shows and wedding receptions and ceremonies.

Eventim Apollo is currently applying for a wedding licence for the venue.

Three years into its ten-year multi-million pound investment, the venue has recently installed an in-house PA system and L-Acoustics. The new system enables audience members to hold a conversation at the very back of the venue, while still being able to hear the music at an enjoyable level.

The launch of the event space comes as the venue celebrates two years since the building's revamp, in 2013, which saw its name change and its interiors restored to their former glory.

Now, the venue remains one of the UK's biggest and best-preserved Art Deco super cinemas.

The new space will host Event Magazine's 2015 Event Awards

Deputy general manager Heiko Kacimi-Alaoui said: "Watching the venue transform so radically after years of under-investment has been an incredible journey, and we already have further building upgrade plans in the pipeline.

"While music and comedy remain an integral part of the venue's history of live performance, I'm excited to see how the corporate side of the business grows now that we can host seated events, kicking off in October with Event Magazine's prestigious annual Event Awards."
